Youth Sports

The City of North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Youth Sports programs are designed to offer participants a variety of recreational sports leagues and activities in a safe, fun, and well-supervised environment. We focus on the whole child through:

Sports provide recreational activities to enhance and build positive experiences and healthy lifelong habits.

Modified Baseball / Softball Season 2020

Registration for a modified baseball/softball season will begin on Monday, May 25, and end on Sunday, May 31. Registration is online and available. If you are unable to register online, please call 843-281-3800 for alternate registration options. The focus of the modified season is to provide playing opportunities for our youth in the safest environment possible. The staff has implemented protocols for play and spectators, which adhere to the CDC and State guidelines and recommendations. 

At this time, due to proper social distancing guidelines, we are not offering a soccer season. 

Important Information

  • Players will randomly be placed on teams by the City of North Myrtle Beach Athletic Staff. Teams will have at least two practices before games and play 4 to 6 games.
  • No All-Stars will be selected and this league is not franchised by Dixie Youth baseball or softball.
  • Due to the modified season and shortened practice time, modifications such as pitching machines may be used for games instead of pitchers.
  • Social distancing, cleaning policies, and other special procedures will be distributed, in writing, to parents and coaches.

  • All games will be played at 5:30 pm or 7 pm

All players will be contacted by a coach or North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Staff about their first practice date and time. If you have not heard from someone prior to the first date listed as a possible practice day, please contact us at 843-281-3800. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

We ask that everyone please adhere to the guidelines for social distancing while participating in North Myrtle Beach athletic leagues. We are excited to be able to offer youth sports again. See you on the field! Practice and game days are subject to change.
