Supervisor Livingston is a South Carolina native and graduated from North Myrtle Beach High School. He is a 20-year veteran of the North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department. He first began his career with the City of Myrtle Beach Police department in April 1992 as a detention officer. In 1994 he was promoted to assistant squad supervisor and transport officer. In 1997 he was hired by the North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety and in 2002 he was promoted to squad supervisor. In 2013 he was then promoted to Communications/Detention Supervisor, which also includes being the departments Cad Administrator. During his time off, Ray enjoys spending time with family, gardening, landscaping, and working for the church.

The Communication and Detentions facility is located at the Department of Public Safety, 1015 2nd Avenue South in North Myrtle Beach. The 24-hour lobby entrance is located at the front of the building on 2nd Avenue South.

We have 19 total Communication and Detention officers working 24 hours.

We are equipped with a total of 5 male / 5 female single cells, 2 male / 2 female double cells, and 4 male / 2 female drunk tanks.

We also have an Identification Room, 2 Visitation Rooms, Bond Hearing Room, and a kitchen.
