Sergeant Bienkoski

Sergeant Bienkoski began his career in law enforcement enlisting in the USAF where he served for over eleven years in the Security Police field. Shortly after separating from the Air Force, Sergeant Bienkoski started his employment with the department assigned to the Communications/ Detention Division for a short period. After successful completion of the State’s Law Enforcement Academy he was assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division. During his assignment in the Patrol Division he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant where he managed and supervised a Patrol Squad.

After spending several years as a supervisor in the uniform patrol division Sergeant Bienkoski accepted a position as Sergeant over Community Services. As supervisor of this division he is responsible for overseeing the departments Animal Control, Code Enforcement and Crime Prevention Programs.

LCpl. Amy Vicks

Lcpl. Amy Vicks moved to the North Myrtle Beach area in 1998 from upstate New York.  She started with the department in 2001 with Uniform Patrol where she served at a Field Training Officer for over 8 years training new police recruits.  She was assigned the position of Warrant and Transport Officer where she located and served warrants on wanted subjects and transported prisoners from various facilities to court proceedings. She recently served a two year rotation in Criminal Investigations, specializing in Sex Crimes.  She is the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) representative for the department.  Throughout her 15 year career with the department she has assisted in various divisions within the department such as Police Training Division, Fire Inspectors Office and Records Division.  Amy enjoys baking, decorating cakes, going to the movies, and spending time with family.

LCpl. David G. King

LCpl. David G. King started his career with the City of North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety in 2006.  LCpl. King is originally from New Jersey and come to South Carolina 30 years ago to attend college, where he obtained degrees in Culinary Arts and Criminal Justice.  LCpl. King has been in the field of Public Safety for the past 23 years.  Since he has been with North Myrtle Beach he has received several awards and specialized training.  He has been a part of the department’s: Field Training Division, Bike Team (Instructor), Alcohol Enforcement Team, K9 Officer and now in Crime Prevention.

LCpl. King has been a part of developing several programs and community groups to assist in helping our community.  He assisted to develop several programs with the Horry County Solicitor’s Office including: Educating People In Choices (EPIC), Succeed Overcome Achieve Re-Educate (SOAR), Truancy Classes, and Juvenile Change Program.  In addition he sits on the “Horry Community Action for a Safer Tomorrow (Horry CAST).  LCpl. King has a passion in helping the youth of today.

LCpl. King has a son and a daughter, Austin 20 years old and Cassidy 17 years old.  His son has graduated in Criminal Justice and is also looking to serve the public one day as a police officer.  His daughter is attending Charleston Southern.  LCpl. King believes in family first and spends free time still with his family going to church, cooking and watching movies.
