COASTAL STORM TO IMPACT NORTH MYRTLE BEACH AREA SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY
According to the National Weather Service/Wilmington, a coastal storm will bring some impacts to our area this weekend.
HIGHLIGHTS:
-- Coastal flooding is likely for east and southeast-facing beaches with each high tide. Water levels are expected to be highest with the high tide Saturday morning and Sunday morning along the beaches.
-- Gusty winds of 40 to 45 mph are expected, especially Saturday night. The highest winds will be along the immediate coast.
-- Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches could lead to localized flooding, especially near flood-prone low-lying areas. The heaviest rain is expected across coastal southeast NC Saturday night.
