NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The City of North Myrtle Beach is updating its policies for seasonal chair and umbrella rentals through Beach Services.
Beach Services provides umbrella and chair rentals to residents and visitors starting in April through mid-October from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Employees with Beach Services will set up your chairs and umbrellas for you.
The updated policies create two seasonal rental packages. Both packages run from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The Full-Time Resident rental package for the spring/summer season requires you to live inside the city limits of North Myrtle Beach and requires a valid SC driver’s license as proof of residence. Rentals are limited to personal use only, may not be resold, transferred, or included in any property rental.
The other seasonal rental package is open to everyone.
The seasonal rate was established in 2008 and had not been increased since then. City staff gathered information from other beach rental companies and compared their rental rates to the City’s existing weekly and monthly rates to determine the seasonal rate.
You can rent chairs and umbrellas daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonally.
Full-time residents wishing to purchase a rental package for the spring/summer season will need to go, in person, to Beach Services at 1024 6th Avenue S. North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582. Seasonal rental packages will be available starting Monday, April 11.
All other rentals can be placed online by clicking here.
