NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- The North Myrtle Beach City Council met in a regularly scheduled meeting on February 20, 2023, at 7 p.m.
Prior to the regularly scheduled meeting, council members held an Executive Session to discuss the following items. No votes were taken.
A. A discussion regarding a potential appointment to the Board of Zoning Appeals
B. A discussion regarding a potential appointment to the Planning Commission
C. A discussion regarding potential appointments and a reappointment to the Accommodations Tax Committee
D. A legal briefing regarding the potential sale of property
During the regularly scheduled meeting, Council Members approved the following minutes:

The items below were approved on the consent agenda:
A. MOTION TO APPROVE: 33rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade on March 11, 2023 (PASSED)
B. MOTION TO APPROVE: SOS Spring Parade on April 22, 2023 (PASSED)
C. MOTION TO APPROVE: Pink Ribbon Run on September 30, 2023 (PASSED)
D. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Petition for Annexation and Zoning Designation for 1.15 acres on Cenith Drive (PASSED)
E. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Petition for Annexation and Zoning Designation for 1.08 acres on Cenith Drive (PASSED)
F. ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: To authorize and approve an Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of North Myrtle Beach and Horry County relating to the joint county industrial and business park and to provide the City’s consent to the creation of the park (PASSED)
G. ORDINANCE/FIRST READING: Adoption of the International Building Codes (PASSED)
H. ORDINANCE/FIRST READING: Amend Section 23-158 of the North Myrtle Beach Code of Ordinances (i.e., organization and proceedings of the Board of Zoning Appeals) to be consistent with Section 6-29-790 of the state code regarding those appropriate for appointment as secretary (PASSED)

ORDINANCE/SECOND READING: Amendment to the Prince Resort Planned Development District (PDD) regarding a full-service hotel and parking structure (PASSED)
